La Méditerranée - a great taste of France

This Monday I had the opportunity to check out La Mediterranee in Midtown East (50th and 2nd).  A and I were meeting another couple for dinner, and I found this restaurant on Opentable.com.  It was delicous. 

I of course had to try the French Onion soup.  This was incredibly enjoyable and seeing as the weather was quite terrible Monday, it warmed my soul.

The meal was out of this world.  Our friends had the caesar salad, cod dish, and beef bourgignone.  I had the linguine, and Adrien had the fois de voeux (calf) and escargots.

Not only was the food delicioius, but the service as well.  There were a number of servers who were very attentive to our table, and were kind enough to offer a glass of wine (on the house) after our meal.

We did not see the time pass.

The decor brought me back to Grenoble as did the food.  Needless to say A was incredibly shocked, and thrilled to have found a French restaurant that makes him think of home.

If you are out this weekend running around finishing up your shopping, I strongly suggest stopping here for dinner.

La Mediterranee - 50th and 2nd Ave

Lundi j'ai eu l'opportunité d'essayer le resto La Méditerranée.  Franchement, c'était super.  Même Adrien était étonné que la nourriture lui fasse tant penser à la France.

Cest un petit resto à Midtown East où vous pouvez vraiment bien manger.  Lea service est aussi super.  Notre serveur vennait de Nice, et il était complètement dispo pour nous aider avec la carte. 

Le couple d'amis avec qui nous y sommes allés a aussi vraiment apprecié le repas. 

Entre nous quatre on a mange la soupe à l'oignon, les escargots, la salade caesar.  Pour nos entrées on etait bien heureux.

Pour les plats princpaux c'etait des pâtes, du poisson, du boeuf bourguignon, et du foie de veau. 

Si vous êtes à Manhattan, en train de finir vos cadeaux de Noël, je vous suggère d'y aller.  C'est vraiment de la nourriture francaise, avec le service à l'américaine.
