Love and Ties (L'amour et les Cravates) ~ Girls En ville

In my opinion, there is nothing better than a man in a NICE tie. Not the stupid ones with snowmen, or weird designs, or some screenprint photos his mom bought. A beautiful, well made tie. Down in the Financial District I manage to see all kinds of ties... some are fantastic, and others I am awkwardly embaressed for the men and their next business meeting.

A doesnt really wear ties unless its for a special occassion. He doesnt exactly have the occassion working in a kitchen. Last thing anyone wants is a tie in their food. But let me tell you... I personally think he is HOT in a tie. :)

I stumbled upon Pierrepont Hicks awhile back. I really love their ties, but again, A doesnt really have the reason to wear one.

Back to ties... you should know Pierrepont Hicks has a great story as well. The ties are created by a couple - one from Brooklyn and one from Minnesota. They began designing ties around the time of their wedding. Heeelllooooo TLC in each and every tie! And they are coming out with a Fall 2013 collection!

I just think there is absolutely nothing better than a great tie...and to find out that it was made by two people in love...well, that would add a little skip to my step if I was wearing the tie (and most likely my partner had purchased the tie).

Alors, les cravattes.... je les adore. Franchement, rien de mieux qu'un homme qui porte une cravate. Pas nécessairement un costume en entier...mais un jeans, une belle chemise, et une cravate. HEEELLLOOO Date Night... ou juste pour le boulot le vendredi.... ou bien sûr pour des grandes affaires.

Vue que je travaille dans le Financial District je vois des cravates souvent. Elles ne sont pas toujours très belles... Souvent, je ne sais pas du tout où ces mecs ont trouvé leur cravate, mais elles seraient mieux à la poubelle. Pas besoin des petits bonhommes de neige. Pas besoin des photos de tes enfants. Et surtout, pas besoin de mettre une cravatte énorme!

Ca fait un moment que je connaissais Pierrepont Hicks mais vu qu'A. travaille dans une cuisine, je ne peux en acheter beaucoup. (Mais je crois que pour Noel, il va en avoir !!!!) Mais je dois vous dire... A, dans un cravatte... wooohhhooo

Aujourd'hui quand je suis allée sur Urban Daddy j'ai vu quand dans les "Perks" ils ont une solde pour les cravattes de Pierrepont Hicks. Moins 40%. Il faut aller voir!

En plus c'est une entreprise qui a commencé avec un couple d'amoureux, qui cherchait une belle cravate pour leur mariage. Mais c'est chouette ca! Des cravates qui ont commencé avec l'amour. (ok des fois je suis une romantique - pas souvent)
