Hair...The good the bad and the flat

I have straight hair.  In case you care.  Its so straight it doesnt do anything but lay flat. 

Curly haired people love it.  And they shouldnt.  Its boring.  Its not bouncy.  Its not voluminous.  Its flat.  Period.

NYC is LOADED with places to treat, color, cut, straighten, perm... anything... your hair.   
C'est la ville ou on peut trouver n'importe quoi pour les cheveux.  Si je voulais les cheveux bouclés, je pourrai les avoir.  Blonde?  Pas de probleme.  Lisse?  Pas de souci. 

Quand j'étais en France en 2006 (pas à Paris mais Grenoble) j'ai coupé mes cheveux une fois.  J'ai eu une coupe "mullet."  
Yes, you Americans you read it right.. once, in France, I got a haircut.  It was terrible, it was a mullet.  And that is why by 2007 I was sporting a new, sassy, short haircut.  Nobody liked it.  Nobody.  
"ahhhh c'est génial" était la reponse typique avec mes cheveux courts... et j'ai appris que ca veut dire, des fois, "ugh c'est horrible, mais je n'ai pas le coeur de te le dire." 

C'est pas grave - maintenant ils sont longs.

In NYC - the land of beauty options, one can also have his/her hair cut from $10 to oh, I dont know, over a thousand.  It can be stupid expensive.  I am by no means stating I would never, not in a million years spend that kind of money on my hair.  I would.  Shamelessly.  Without thinking twice, if my bank account allowed for that kind of frivolous spending.

Since it doesnt, I have focused on a great cut and great color...nothing crazy. 

Il faut choisir quand même, est-ce que je vais depenser trop d'argent sur les cheveux, et après je ne peux plus faire les afterworks?  Je ne pense pas... les compromis.  Car, à NYC, on peut depenser quand même plus de $1000 sur les cheveux. 

Mais pour le moment, c'est pas possible pour moi de faire ça. 

Friday - I went to Gucci (not her real name) at Dramatics as I have been doing since finding her in 2009.  She really does great hair.  Awesome hair.  And is probably one of the funniest people I know.  She also thinks I'm oh so funny, which is always nice.  She shamelessly laughs at everything I say.  I finally decided to change up my "look" which A (the b/f) said was "mean" and "too dark."

The best part of Dramatics, well Gucci (I dont go to anyone else) is that its not crazy expensive.  They offer great dance music (ooohhh Euro Trash music) and its an all around good time. 

Pour vous il faut savoir que Dramatics n'est pas très cher, et Gucci elle fait trop bien les cheveux.  La mère d'A (mon b/f) a même fait ses cheveux avec elle à Noel.  Ils étaient magnifique ses cheveux.  Et ça ne coute pas tres cher, du tout. Il faut aller la voir quand vous venez à NYC.  Il y a rien de mieux qu'un nouveau coupe de cheveux, ou couleur, ou les deux.
